Bourbon rose with medium-sized, loosely filled flowers. They are dark fuchsia pink in colour and stand alone or in small bunches. The flowers have a very strong, sweet smell of old roses. This climbing rose stays rather low and compact. The leaves are matt green and not very healthy. The plant is susceptible to starvation dew and powdery mildew and needs sufficient fertilizer. The young shoots are brown. ‘Zephirine Drouhin' is mainly known as a spine-free plant. It can be used as a shrub or as a rambler against a wall, in a pyramid, against a fence.
