'Belle de Crécy' is an old gallica rose that is still widely grown and is still a popular garden rose.
The medium-sized, very double flowers have a remarkable colour; cherry-pink flowers with purple nuances emerge from the carmine-red flower buds. As flowering progresses, the flower changes colour to purple-gray. In the middle, the petals are centred around a green button eye. 'Belle de Crécy' is very fragrant.
The plant is medium sized and has a gray-green leaf that is almost thornless, only some fine red thorns are present.
