A rose with many qualities. Large, double, old-fashioned, peony-like, flat flowers with a soft colour appear on the low, bushy shrub. The flowers are a light apricot-pink in the centre, discolouring quickly to creamy white. Their leaves are dark green and healthy, the young shoots have a slightly bronze tint. ‘Gruss an Aachen' starts its bloom early, with flowers appearing in May and repeat-flowering until the end of October. A charming shrub, good as a parterre, in groups among other plants, as a hedge, in the forefront of a border and in pots.
