A mutation of Rosa centifolia muscosa, syn. Common Moss, with heavily mossy flower buds and stems. The cup-shaped flowers open into flat, white blooms with a strong fragrance. It has a loose growth habit with arching branches.

Named after the nurseryman Henry Shailer in Little Chelsea (England), who commercialized this mutation in 1788.
