This Chinese rose bush has beautiful, semi-double cup-shaped pink flowers, lighter in the middle and dark pink to carmine pink as they age. In warm weather this evolution is faster and forms a remarkable monochrome of colours. The flowers spread a pleasant scent of tea rose with musky tones. A strong rose bush with flexible branches and almost thornless. With us the plant remains 100 cm high in other mainly warmer regions it can grow higher. The dark green leaves are healthy. Blooms continuously throughout the season. This variety is not so well known. However, it has many qualities such as continuous flowering, colour and scent. Before 1920 the rose would have been known by the name 'Paul's Dresden China'. Countess Sophie Beckendorf used it when laying out the garden 'Lime Klin' (Ipswich) in England and gave it her name from 1922.
