A very vigorous and beautiful rambler with small semi-double fragrant flowers in clusters. Soft pink to white with the fine scent of primroses and mochata. This variety keeps its leaves for a long time.

    Adélaïde d'Orléans' is a rambler, not repeat-flowering but with many qualities. From the dark pink flower buds many semi-double small to medium sized flowers emerge, flowers of an attractive light pink colour, fading to white and opening into a flat flower showing its stamens. They have a scent of primula and moschata scent. It is a vigorous climber with long flexible branches that can easily be guided along a fence, fence or rose arch. The small leaves are dark green and contrast beautifully with the flowers, it is healthy. 'Adelaïde d'Orléans' is a sempervirens hybrid, they have the property of keeping their leaves until late winter.
    Antoine Jacques, an avid lover of flora, was the breeder of this rose, who between 1824 and 1832 experimented with crosses between 'Rosa sempervirens' and 'Rosa chinensis', resulting in a series of new rose varieties, including the 'Adélaïde d'Orléans' . This rose is named after Adélaïde d'Orléans, the younger sister of Louis-Philippe 1er, who had a great influence on her brother and played an important role in his coronation. The rose was commercialized in 1826.
