A reliable, modern rambler with large, semi-double flowers that are bright pink. From the long flower buds come the bright pink with salmon tinted flowers that fade to pale pink. They fade faster in hot weather. The strong petals withstand rain and humidity excellently. They have a light scent. They flower abundantly in June-July and repeat-flower in September-October, after which large, red hips appear. ‘Bantry Bay' forms a rambler with rather rigid, upright growing branches. The abundantly present leaves are medium green, leathery and healthy. The young shoots are tinted bronze. This climbing rose is excellent against a wall, a pergola, a fence or a pyramid or obelisk.
