'Belle Poitevine' is an older classic Rugosa. Large semi-double flat flowers appear from the elongated deep magenta pink flower buds. They are warm to deep pink and give us very fragrant flowers in waves all summer long. The foliage is wrinkled, typical of the Rugosa roses, very healthy and dense. In the fall, the autumnal coloring of yellow and orange leaves attracts attention, but the large orange-red hips are also interesting. They are a delicacy for the birds but also for us because they are ideal for making jam. An excellent plant in a hedge, in groups or solitary.
