This rose described by Pirolle in 1826, also appeared in Van Houtte's catalogue of 1842. The shrub grows upright and can reach a height of 2 m. The medium-sized flowers are double and cup-shaped with backward-curved petals. The flowers are dark pink veined and lighter on the outer edge. They have a good scent.
