This cultivar is one of the best of the orientalis types and a vigorous climber, growing to about 5m in height with a 3m spread. It has dark-green leaves and huge orange-yellow, lantern-shaped flowers, which are followed by whiskery seed-heads. This plant prefers a sunny spot and a rich, well-drained soil with the roots shaded. Excellent for cultivating on fences, walls, pergolas, arbors, walls and big trees.It's particularly useful as a screening plant, for covering tall fences or unsightly buildings.
