The 'Duc de Cambridge' is an old Damascene rose, bred by the famous French rose grower Jean Laffay, before 1840. It produces large, cup-shaped, very double quartered flowers that are distinguished by their deep, rich pink-red to purple-pink colour. This rose is known for its intense, delicious scent, a characteristic typical of Damascene roses. A blend of classic rose scent with hints of spicy and fruity notes.
The plant grows as a sturdy, upright shrub and can reach a height of approximately 1.5 to 1.8 meters. The leaves are dark green and have a slightly wrinkled texture.
Flowering time: 'Duc de Cambridge' is a summer bloomer, with its main flowering period in June and July. The flowering is usually concentrated in one impressive lush wave.
