'Gloire des Rosomanes' is one of the first fertile hybrids between European roses and cultivars from China and also important in the development of the Bourbon roses.
It is a particularly richly flowering and continuously flowering Chinese rose bush. The flowers are medium-sized, semi-double, red in colour and slightly fragrant. The red ranges from crimson to dark fuchsia pink. The heart of the flat flowers is white and numerous white stripes mark the petals. The latter are loose and give the flower a somewhat disorderly appearance. The beautiful colour of the flowers is one of the best features of this rose bush and attracts attention from afar in the garden. The flowering is particularly abundant and the bouquets usually count 3 to 5 flowers.
The plant grows vigorously, upright and can also be used as a climbing rose, the branches have many thorns. In addition, this rose bush produces an abundance of urn-shaped rose hips in the autumn.
