This mulch material is ideal for keeping the soil in the garden or flower box weed-free. It has a natural appearance due to its dark colour. It ensures good water permeability and consists of finely ground wood fibre and tree bark from deciduous and coniferous wood.
A mulch layer lowers the soil temperature by 2 to 2.5°C so that the soil dries out less quickly during the summer. The pH is 5-5,5. The product does not inhibit growth, it stimulates root formation and prevents crust formation on the soil. It composts slowly. We have had good experiences with this covering material in our rose borders.
With a covering layer of 5 cm, 1 bag of 80 L is sufficient for 1.5 m².
