Our anniversary rose, on the occasion of 150 years of Lens rose nurseries, is a strikingly attractive climbing rose. The graceful, elongated red-pink flower buds produce large single salmon-pink flowers with yellow at the base that fade. The back of the petals are more intensely pink. When they fade, the petals fold and the flowers look like stars. They have a pleasant floral scent. Up to 27 flowers are on the plume-shaped bunches.
This rose plant starts blooming early in the season and reblooms until late autumn.
Remarkable is the young leaves and branches that turn brown-red and resemble the leaves of the red beech, which provides a beautiful contrast with the first flowers. Then the leaf turns dark green.
The plant has an upright growth and can also be planted as a shrub rose. The large branches have many spines.
