What are the qualities of the rose 'Prince Charles de Luxembourg'?
The small double flowers are spherical and have a light pink, white color. They are arranged in large pyramidal racemes, which have 20 to 75 flowers, which looks romantic. They are rain resistant, which means that they recover very quickly and do not suffer much from rain. The clusters appear continuously between June and the end of October. This small shrub has a bushy habit with slightly arching branches. 80-100 cm high and 60 cm wide. The leaf is dark green, slightly shiny and has 7 leaflets. Other characteristics are the good resistance to diseases and the limitless possibilities in the garden. The rose 'Prince Charles de Luxembourg' can be planted as a solitary, in groups of 3 or 5 to create a large bouquet, in mixed borders with perennials, as a loose hedge and in pots or containers. We like to use this rose in bouquets because they last a long time in a vase.
This new rose was baptised on October 5, 2020 in the rose garden of 'Chateau de Munsbach' (LU) in the presence of Prince Guillaume, Princess Stéphanie and Prince Charles. It is an initiative of the Luxembourg rose association Letzebuerger Rousefrenn, which awarded the rose with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in June 2020 during the rose competition in Baden-Baden (DE). They dedicate them to HRH Prince Charles de Luxembourg, born May 10, 2020.
