Impressive is the flowering in May by its waterfall of clusters, small yellow double flowers. A very vigorous shrub or climbing rose with flexible almost thornless branches with a decorative glossy leaf. Requires a sheltered location in our climate.

It is a beautiful sight in April in our orangery, when a cascade of small yellow double flowers appears. Do not be put off by its rampant growth because the plant has the advantage of being almost thornless and easy to maintain. To get maximum flowering it is better to plant it where it can do its thing. The foliage is attractive light green and glossy and very healthy. In our Belgian climate this variety requires a sheltered position.
This was imported a little later than the White Banksiae, from the same Chinese nursery Fa-The by John Dampier Park, of Kew, and it is the most widely spread banksiae variety.
