The 'Victor Parmentier' is a historic rose, bred by the Belgian rose grower Louis-Joseph-Ghislain Parmentier before 1847. The flowers are medium-sized and a carmine pink with lighter edges, fading to a light pink. They are densely filled with 26 to 40 petals, quartered in shape, and have a button-eye shape in the center. The flowers are strongly scented. Like all Gallica roses, it blooms in June and July. The shrub grows upright with sturdy branches that can reach up to 200 cm. The foliage is light green, contrasting beautifully with the flowers. 'Victor Parmentier' can be planted as a solitairy plant or in combination with other roses, shrubs, or perennials.
Although sometimes called 'Rose Victor', it does not appear in the original Parmentier catalogs.
