Deuil de Paul Fontaine
The large, very double, cup-shaped flowers are dark crimson and open into a flatter bloom. They are sweetly scented. The buds are covered with a thick greenish-red moss, as are the branches, which have many prickles. It is an upright shrub with dark foliage. It reflowers in autumn.
