The plant grows strongly with strong branches, upright. Height up to 2m and width 1.5m. Ideal as a shrub in the background of a border or against a wall.
In the literature this rose is sometimes described as a synonym for R. x francofurtana. However, in our rosegarden these are 2 different roses. The R.gallica 'Splendens' starts its growth with strong powerful branches, which grow much higher than with R. x francofurtana. In Euro-Rosarium Sangerhausen they are also considered two different plants.
